This is the last of the series. I got a kink in my neck trying to take this shot (and a number just like it). I had set my DiMAGE A2 (bye bye Konica Minolta...) to macro mode, got fairly close, and with the breeze blowing just a bit and the aperture fully open there wasn't a whole lot of field depth...so there I was perched on a chair in a Hunchback of Notre Dame kind of pose trying not only to get the spider and her web as sharp as possible, but also the distant street light in the frame. Hence the kink in the neck. But it was worth it. I quite like the way this came out, though I think I'd prefer it if the street light weren't quite so close to the edge of the frame.
The next morning I walked right into the web and it totally enveloped half my face. The spider was mere inches from my right eye. I know I did one of those girly icky full body spaz freak out things, but don't tell anyone cause I'm pretty embarrassed about the whole thing.
