Today was rubber-to-the-road day. We ran the 2 hour pre-Turkey Day traffic gauntlet to Palm Desert:. Not the worst, but quite palpable. Ah, it passed quickly. Worse than that kind of hard drive is the kind that has all my images on it and is acting very toast-ish. Surprisingly, I'm not in as pissed off about it as I might be, though that can change. To make matters worse, whatever's ailing the drive, the laptop seems to have picked up; it, too, is behaving like a piece de merde. Stay tuned for updates. And wish me luck.
