Over this past weekend I took a photography workshop in Seattle put on by Craig Tanner and Mark Johnson of The Radiant Vista (www.radiantvista.com), both of whom I found to be outstanding instructors.
Going into the workshop I imagined it would be educational and inspiring. What I came away with was something I didn't anticipate; something that transcends photography and taps quite deep into the stream of living. A vitality driven by intention and, as Craig put it in one of the workshop classes, desire. The weekend, both in and out of class, was worth every minute. I highly recommend it to any photographer who feels they could use a motivating kick in the pants.
A bit about this image: Craig spent some time talking about the three types of twilight, and made use of a graphic illustrating the phases. During the class I wanted to take a shot of his silhouette against the screen, as a personal reminder not only to pay attention to the technical nature of twilight...but also to resurrect and feed the twilight of spirit. However, I felt it might be too distracting for others if I got up and started shooting during his talk (go figure!)...so after the last class I asked him to pose for me. This image is the result of one of four shots I took.
