A pedestrian was seen crossing a street near Los Angeles today, causing gridlock and mass confusion in the immediate vicinity. Emergency paramedics arrived too late. Evidently the man made it to the other side. He was taken to a nearby hospital for observation. A government spokesman denies that this is the work of a terrorist organization. The governor has called on the administration in Washington to fund the "No Pedestrian Left Behind" program.
