"My grandmother has been a guiding presence all my life, and long after her physical life ended. She modeled a full life as a demanding businesswoman, a horse racing fan, a grower of prolific sweet pea flowers, a regular imbiber of one scotch a day, an enthusiastic participant in the political scene, and made incredible deviled eggs. But more than anything else, she loved all of her grandchildren absolutely unconditionally, no strings attached - and every day I still feel that love radiating from wherever she passes the time now. I don't have to miss her, because she's still very much around. I love you, Gram!"
